The Tower of Babel, Genesis 11
Genesis 7:6-7 write, "Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood." Then in Genesis 8:13-16, it says, "By the first day of the first month of Noah's six hundred and first year, the water had dried up from the earth...by the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth was completely dry. Then God said to Noah, come out of the ark, you and yourwife, and your sons and their wives." When kids read these passages, one of the students said, "Noah was quarantined for so long! We have only been quarantined for 6 months because of covid. How did he do it?" Now that I think about it, that is so true. Can you imagine being in the ark just with your family and caring for the animals for more than 1 year? Yet, the Bible tells us Noah did eveything just as God commanded him. Noah was obedient and faithful to God. Noah was a righteous man, blameless, and he walked faithfully with God. Just as the human beings were wicked in the times of Noah, we have sinned against God and we deserve punishment of death. But God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins sowhoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life, and we will be found righteous and blameless because we are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.
