Kids Blog-Remain in my love
This week, kids learned that God will help us bear much fruit when we remain in Him.
Bible Story: The Vine and the Branches John 15
Bible Verse: If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain in his love. John 15:10
In John 15, Jesus teaches His disciples that He is the vine and we are the branches. Just as the branches must be connected to the vine in order to grow, we must be connected to Jesus in order to grow and bear fruits. Jesus reminds us that apart from Him, we can do nothing. He teaches that if we keep His commands, we will remain in HIs love and commands us to love each other as He has loved us. How did Jesus love us? Jesus demonstrated the greatest love by dying on the cross for our sins. He laid down his own life for us. Jesus said we are His friends if we do what He commands. So let us love each other. This week, let us ask God to help us remain in Him and love each other selflessly and forgive each other just as He did for us.
