Kids Blog-Sin entered the world
Last week, kids learned that ever since Adam and Eve sinned, sin entered the world and all people have been sinners.
Bible Point: Sin entered the world
Bible Text: Genesis 3
God created Adam and Eve and gave them everything they needed in the Garden of Eden. God gave them a command. In Genesis 2, the LORD commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die." One day, the serpent went to the woman and asked, "Did God really say, you must not eat from any tree in the garden?" The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'" But the serpent said to the woman, "you will not certainly die, for God knows that when you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will like God, knowing good and evil." When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband and he ate it. Then their eyes were opened and they realize they were naked. The serpent deceived Adam and Eve, sadly they fell to the temptation and shame and guilt entered them. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day and they hid from the LORD. The man blamed the woman and the woman blamed the serpent. Life became full of sin and suffering because of their disobedience. But God promised that one of the woman's descendants would destroy the serpent and sent them out of the garden. Ever since Adam and Eve sinned, we all have been sinners. Our sin separates us from God, but God loves us and sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us from sin and bring them to God.
